Meet the Baker
Vanessa Field
Following my curiosity and passion for food, I attended a Culinary Arts program at London’s Fanshawe College. Not long after graduating, I was drawn towards the sweet side of the kitchen and made the move to Toronto and later Stratford, gaining 20 years experience in professional kitchens.
My creations are inspired by flavourful and nutritious whole grains, rustic baking styles and the many wonderful ingredients our region has to offer. In 2022 The Baker’s Project was created as a way to start sharing the style of baking I enjoy making at home with others.
Through The Baker’s Project, I’m looking to build relationships with those who grow and produce our ingredients, to make connections by sharing stories from our kitchens, farms and creative spaces, and of course to always keep learning!
